Actor / Accent Coach
Nice words from important people

Bruce Davison
Academy Award Nominee. | X-Men, 1923, Ozark
"Torsten Kellar is a wonderful teacher. He gets to the root of learning a German dialect by making it a true and, most importantly, a personal experience that keeps your dialect from sounding canned and inauthentic."

Phil Blattenberger
Writer/Director | Condor's Nest, Laws of Man
"I hired Torsten to come on as a German archaeologist in Condor's Nest. He had the most difficult job in the room: as the only native German speaker he had to run a five-minute dialogue scene (replete with gunplay, no less) with a bunch of actors who didn't speak a lick of German prior to taking the roles. The entire scene was built around his character providing the verbal cues against which all the other actors would play. Huge challenge! And it went off without a hitch, largely due to Torsten working with the actors (Arnold Vosloo, James Urbaniak, Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison) beforehand to perfect their inflections, work out the beats, and let the dialogue flow as naturally as possible. We wound up with my favorite scene in any movie I've ever shot and it wouldn't have turned out half as good without Torsten's coaching!"

Brandon Tyler Moore
The Corps (Netflix)
"In my experience as an actor dialects and accents have been way bigger already for me than I could have expected, one night I got a call that I needed to speak fluent German in a project to open the film….that following week…Well luckily this man right here was there every step of the way and I stepped on set with full confidence and now have a piece of work I’m proud of thanks to this man right here Torsten Kellar! If you are in need of someone to help you feel confident stepping on stage or set speaking German like it’s your native tongue. This is your guy!"

Michael Tourek
Logan Lucky, Ozark
"Working with Torsten on Condor's Nest really helped me get comfortable with the German accent. There was a lot of ad-lib and extra banter in our scene and it is not an advanced dialect for me. His coaching gave a connection to my character and my scene partners making our performance feel so much more real."

Al Pagano
Condor's Nest, Laws of Man
“I found myself cast as a lead in a feature called Condor’s Nest playing a German atomic physicist. Not only did I have to acquire a German accent, I also had to learn nine pages of German dialogue. Torsten helped immensely with making my accent sound as real and consistent as possible. He also helped with not only the pronunciation of certain German words, but instructed me how the sentences should flow as if spoken by a native German speaker. There is no worse feeling than showing up on the first day of a shoot not being confident in your accent and letting that distract you from your performance. I highly recommend working with Torsten if you need to perfect a German accent. He’s fun to work with and extremely knowledgeable.”
